Primary Source Archive

Partners in History has prepared a primary source archive application to support its 8th, 9th, and 11th grade history and civics curriculum. With over 400 primary sources, the archive provides a convenient starting place for teachers hoping to make greater use of primary sources in their teaching. Its multimedia display capabilities allow it to be used for in-class presentation and student exploration of these sources. An export button also allows you to save a PowerPoint compatible version of the source (jpeg, mov, mp3) for inclusion in existing PowerPoint presentations.

Click the archive image to launch the archive in a new full screen window. Please be sure that you have allowed popup windows to be opened in your browser. You may be asked to allow this popup or see a subtle message posted at the top or bottom of your screen indicating that the popup window as been suppressed. If the popup fails, you can also navigate directly to http://danbury.historicusinc.net/. The archive requires the free Flash player version 9 available at http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflash/.
