March 24th will be a day of Professional Development. Members of the History Department will travel to New York City for a tour of the Morris-Jumel Mansion and The Apollo Theater. The lecture will be conducted by Dr. Jack Leopold, WCSU. Teachers will gather in the Media center at Danbury High School at 7:20 am for opening remarks; departure for New York City will follow shortly thereafter. Western Connecticut State University - President's Lecture Series - - - Amy Chua, the author of “Day of Empire: How Hyperpowers Rise to Global Dominance — and Why They Fall”, will speak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, in Room 125 of the Science Building on the Midtown Campus.
