Partners in History: Danbury TAH Grant

Completion of this unit will simultaneously precipitate student understanding ofthe immigrant and urban experience in America after 1870. Students will be required to analyze critically why immigrants flocked to America and their experiences once they reached their destination. Students will gain understanding ofthe social, political and economic challenges facing immigrants in American cities during this same time period. Students will be able to determine for themselves whether or not America lived up to its promise as a land of opportunity.
