On the site this week we are scanning and posting dozens of lesson plans submitted by grant participants. The entire lesson plans will be available to authorized users (because of copyright protected sources included in many of them) from the Teaching Support menu on the right or at this web address: http://danburytahg.org/view/lesson_plans. In the future, we will need the Danbury teams help to develop a standard template so the list can be searched by grade level and other consistent criterea. For our TAH project in New Hampshire, we used this simple outline for our lesson plans so all teacher's covered the same bases, while still being free to add free form content to their lesson plan:SAMPLE OUTLINE FOR CLASSROOM ACTIVITY WRITE-UP
For Danbury's new TAH grant, we suggest you move to online submission of lesson plans with at least some minimal fields (title, abstract, grade level, and perhaps standards) that go with every lesson. The lesson itself can be submitted as a Word file or a PDF file so the teacher's do no have to reformat existing lesson plans just for our template. Our staff will then convert all lesson plans not in PDF form into PDFs for there is a consistent format for all of the lessons generated by the project. Looking forward to working with you on this next week.
